At LUOSKO German Shepherd Dog Rescue, our event and fundraising volunteers are the unsung heroes behind the scenes—the passionate, dedicated individuals who help keep our rescue running through their tireless efforts. While our kennel staff and behaviour team care for the dogs day to day, it's our volunteers who make so much of that possible by helping us raise the vital funds we need to continue our life-saving work.

 

Every bag of food, every veterinary bill, every blanket, toy, or training session is funded almost entirely through public support. That’s why fundraising is so critical—and why our volunteers are absolutely essential to our mission.

 

Our event and fundraising volunteers help in a wide variety of ways, including:

• Running stalls at community events, pet shows, and markets

• Collecting donations through raffles, tombolas, and fundraising games

• Promoting our work and sharing the stories of the dogs in our care

• Organising and assisting at LUOSKO-hosted events like open days, sponsored walks, and awareness drives

• Helping to plan, set up, and tidy away at fundraising events big and small

• Creating mini fundraisers in their own communities—bake sales, quiz nights, car boot sales, and more

• Managing collection tins in local shops and helping us build relationships with local businesses

• Encouraging others to get involved—be it through donations, volunteering, or adopting
